Here’s a turn-up for the books, AI laptops. Specifically, Lenovo AI laptops. Acer already debuted its newest Swift with the Intel Core Ultra chips in a stunning demo recently. And Samsung has been rushing to push out its AI-powered Galaxy Book 4 series of laptops. But it seems this decade is going to have a lot of variety in AI-powered laptops going forward, giving consumers a boatload of choice.
Intel Core Ultra processors
A large part of this new revolution is thanks to Intel’s newest Ultra Core processor chipsets. Not only are these processors more efficiently designed, they also contain an NPU alongside the CPU and GPU. This Neural Processing Unit is, simply put, an AI unit. These NPUs are expected to revolutionize computing; using AI to enhance computing power and efficiency.
But it’s not just lower power draws and faster computing cycles, these NPUs bring AI features to everyday laptops. As shown in the Acer Swift demo at Intel Innovation a few days ago, these Ultra Core chips allow a basic laptop to run generative AI.
This means anyone using these processors can generate text as well as create images from textual prompts in mere seconds. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, as this AI power allows for amazing levels of ease and control over traditionally difficult tasks; like video editing.
Lenovo AI laptops, ThinkPads and IdeaPads
Lenovo’s line of ThinkPads and IdeaPads are some of the most popular everyday laptops in use around the world. They’re easy on the wallet, have solid build quality, and come with powerful enough specs to get work and study tasks done without a problem. The newest ThinkPads (ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1) and IdeaPad (IdeaPad Pro 5i) come with Intel Core Ultra processors.
The fact that users can now prompt an AI to create an image or transform it into a video in seconds is, frankly speaking, mind-bogglingly unbelievable.
